Freeport of Riga

The Freeport of Riga development territory in Spilve meadows includes vacant development territory of more than 450 ha - one of the largest greenfield territories available for implementation of mega-scale projects in European ports. Territory is located in the heart of major European capital – city of Riga and the Freeport of Riga, 3 minutes from the city center, 8 minutes from Riga International Airport and is directly connection to TEN-T road network. Spilve territory is connected to the wide-gauge (1520 mm) railway network, and Rail Baltica connection from Riga International Airport with a European 1435 mm gauge railway is expected, thus providing unique preconditions to create a multi-modal logistics complex. Spilve territory is split in 4 development zones (A - 78ha, B - 234ha, C - 117ha, D - 48ha) envisioned for development of business activities and includes Spilve Industrial Park - large-scale industrial and logistics park providing value-added multi-modal logistics services, manufacturing and product assembly as well as is a hub for innovation in collaboration with nearby universities (knowledge mile project), and Spilve Solar Park for the production of clean energy to supply industrial park as well as develop P2X projects. Freeport of Riga has completed the Feasibility study and is proceeding with the project structuring selection of developers and investors.
