PathKeeper Surgical

About this project
PathKeeper is a medical device company utilizing AI and 3D imaging to create a paradigm shift in spinal surgeries. At present, there are 6 million spinal surgeries taking place annually worldwide, with a failure rate of 20%-30%. This is due to the lack of real time imaging and navigation assistance throughout surgery.  PathKeeper has developed the first Machine-Vision Image Guided Surgery system that allows spine surgeons to perform fast, cost-effective, radiation-free spinal navigation. Our Spine Navigation System provides real-time 3D images using machine-vision and proprietary camera-based technology throughout the surgery, leveraging machine-vision to segmentally register individual vertebrae in seconds accounting for intersegmental motion, and maintaining accuracy throughout the entire procedure. The real-time feedback allows surgeons to be more accurate in screw placement and the use of machine-vision image-guided surgery systems eliminates all radiation associated with navigation.
