Designing the Belt and Road

China’s Belt and Road Initiative offers Hong Kong architects and designers many opportunities for the future, according to Oskar Ng, Managing Director of Hong Kong firm, Architectual Project Unit. He says Hong Kong’s high density environment and residence-and-railway approach to development could be a model for the Belt and Road’s expected high demand for infrastructure, urban planning and building projects. Mr Ng also sees a Hong Kong advantage by using technology and 3D printing for modelling purposes, promoting more cost efficient and better managed projects.
